The Question Of Transgender Community and Anti-gay laws.

G
There is a lot of controversy in the media since President Museveni of Uganda signed the Anti-gay bill into law. Some people have lauded the move while others are condemning it on basis of interfering with personal life. The transgender activists have been holding demonstrations all over the country arguing that the gay people have their right to choose the path of their personal life. This issue about homosexuality has raised concerns about the morality of a nation and how it holds to its cultures.
President Museveni posed a challenge that if these people want to be given their rights, they should first bring fourth a child who was born out of homosexuality to prove their legality. On the other hand president, Mugabe of Zimbabwe posed a challenge to president Obama of America to first accept and be married to him before advocating for the rights of the homosexuals, which is a bit hilarious. Apart from that, the bill signed into law has it that any person accused of  homosexuality;or gay ism in this matter is subjected to imprisonment of 14 years in even a life imprisonment..and anyone who cannot report such people is subjected to law.

How will this homosexuals be identified if they don’t come out in the open and present themselves like Binyavanga did.I am pretty sure that there are so many people in this world who are homosexuals but have never been known. Sstarting from boarding schools, especially single gender schools, there are very many cases of students who are homosexuals. These students will often influence the younger ones while clearing school which implies that this act will not end very soon.this also means that homosexuality is not an inborn trait but a nurtured character.

However,no one of these people have been identified and reported. The students who clear schools are the ones now fighting for their rights over the media.I am very sure that there are students who are aware of  such people but they have not reported them.this means that although the anti-gay bill was signed into law,it will be very difficult to be effected. It is obvious that homosexuality in Kenya, since time immemorial, has been illegal and anyone caught is seen as lacking ethics.but has that stopped them from being homosexuals?

Consider the case where criminals who are jailed are kept together, and most probably they are of the same sex.this people will be staying in the same rooms and always be together.and with lack of ladies around in this case, there are high chances that whenever one of the criminal is gay, then the act will still be continued in the jail. These people will always impose ways to satisfy their sexual desires and that is why they will sodomize their fellow men..imprisoning criminals, and especially those accused of being gay and placing them in the same place doesn’t solve the issue of gay ism..they will finish their term in jail still in the act and come out to spread it.My other concern is who will be walking over the corridors to spy on who are the gay people in the community.Although they will be confined to the law passed of the anti-gay ism,am pretty sure none of them will stop it. It is like someone addicted to drugs and is jailed to stop abusing them.that is kinda impossible.

My argument does not mean that i support gay ism, NO. In fact i cant stand to see people of the same sex being married, that is unethical. However,my argument is how this anti-gay law will help to end or stop homosexuality.I think there should be a more severe way of dealing with such cases rather that imprisoning for 14 years and allowing them to stay together.this means that making anti gay law legal is a good thing but there should be other ways on how to identify them and deal with them.Otherwise, thumbs up Ugandan president and your counterpart of Nigeria for making it illegal and preserving our African culture
